Ever have one of those days where you see something one way so you say something only for someone else to point out a different view and now you feel like a fool?  Thats what happened to me and now I'm not real sure what to do.

Here at work we have to put in "primary" vacation time but if someone who has siniority over you decides they want that day they can trump you and take your day.  That is what happened to me, so I e-mailed my comm chief and explained I was upset becase I got rejected for my primary vacation and it was not something we could reschedule.  Then when the lady whos schedule confilcted w/ mine came in I said something to her about it.  I came into work this evening to an e-mail saying basicly its policy and I should not have made plans.  BTW what I said to my co-worker was inappropriat.  WHAT?!?!?  I have no clue what I could have said.  I sent an e-mail back to boss and told her that and also came up with what I thought would be a good idea for future vacation time so we dont come up with this again.

In the mean time I got another e-mail from the dayshift supervisor expressing how much her employees are such great leaders and express wonderful team work by re-arranging their vacation so I can have my time off.  So how is this e-mail not inappropriate?  To me it feels like a dig.  I have not e-mailed anything else but I am very hurt by this and have realized I should not have said anything at all.  But to late...My foot is alreay in my mouth & it tastes yuck!!!

About me and my family

I thought I would take a few min to tell you about myself and family.

I have been married 13 wonderful, crazy, emotional years to my best friend.  Alan is a hard working man whom I admire probably more than he will ever know.  He and I have had our moments of rough waters but we have been able to work together to get back on track.  He is a full time fire fighter so his schedule is crazy.  He is 24hrs on and 48hrs off.  When he is not at the fire department he works for a shuttle company taking people to and from the airport or military base.  He was married once before and has a son from his previous marriage.

Jake is Alan's son, who is now 19 and going to college to be a chief.  He has recently moved out and we are becoming "THOSE" parents who are worried.  Is he going to school?  Is he going to work?  Is he going to be able to pay his bills?  What was his mother thinking by moving him out so soon?  Oh yea we already know the answer to that questions...thats left for another day.

Together Alan and I have 2 beautiful daughters.  Cecilia "CC" is 12.  She will be 13 in less than a month and thinks she is going to get a facebook, but I'm not ready for that yet.   CC is my fun loving, silly girl.  She has her own style and ideas for things.  Then we have Emily.  Emily is 11, and has a HUGE heart.  She is kind & giving and would give up everything she has to make someone happy, however she also has HUGE attitude to go along with her heart.  The rolling of the eyes, and heavy sighing.

We also have 3 dogs, Molly (terrier), Tucker (lab), & Scout (huskey/shepard) 1 cat, Timmy.  2 hens and 1 rooster and a pond of fish.

While the family sleeps I am at work.  I work the 3rd shift at the police department as a 911 dispatcher.  Sometimes we are CRAZY busy and sometimes (like tonight) we are not.  We handle calls for the Amb, fire, & police.  Once Im off work I go home get everyone off to work and school and go to bed.  This way I'm up when everyone comes home so I can spend time w/ them.

Welcome to my new blog, I'm glad to see you :D
This year I am hoping to blog more about family including the ups & downs
along w/ the funnies.
(I personally like to know I'm not the only one dealing w/ teenage drama)
I'm hoping to be able to post some patterns, and helpful hints.
This year will be a blog learning year. I'm new at this so I encourage any
helpful advise (such as wrapping text or taking this dreadful space out..haha)
I will talk again soon, time to get some coffee.
